This Privacy Policy is a transparency notice. It explains how personal data is handled when you use artegomagazine.com, contact Artego Magazine, subscribe to editorial emails, submit work or interact with an Artego service. It is not a contract and visiting the Website does not constitute consent to optional analytics or marketing. Independent platforms have their own privacy notices.

2. SCOPE AND ROLES
This Policy covers processing carried out by Artego Magazine through artegomagazine.com, Artego email accounts and editorial administration. Artells Media is operated by the same controller and is used as a separate submission and order interface; its specific notice and checkout information also apply when you use it. Kavyar, MagCloud/Blurb, PayPal, social networks and other platforms you choose to visit may act as independent controllers for their own services.
3. DATA WE MAY PROCESS
We may process:
• Website and security data: IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, referral source, security events and cookie choices.
• Contact data: name, email address, social-media handle and the content of messages or requests.
• Newsletter data: email address, consent status, consent date and withdrawal or suppression record.
• Submission data: submitter and team credits, professional roles, contact details, portfolio and cloud links, images and files, editorial correspondence, publication preferences, rights declarations, model releases and other evidence reasonably required to verify authority to publish.
• Order and support data: service selected, order or payment reference, status, correspondence, complaint and refund information. Artego does not request full card details and does not ask you to send passwords or identity documents by ordinary email.
• Published data: creator and model names, professional credits, social-media handles, approved biography, images and other information authorised for publication.
4. HOW WE RECEIVE DATA, INCLUDING TEAM AND MODEL DATA
We receive data directly from you, automatically through the Website, from the same controller’s Artells Media interface, or from an independent platform such as Kavyar when it shares a submission with Artego for editorial review or order support.
A photographer, producer or other submitter may provide names, credits, contact details, images and release information relating to models and other team members. In that situation, Artego receives the data indirectly. The submitter must have authority to provide it, must give the individuals this Privacy Policy or equivalent information, and must not provide more data than necessary. Artego uses this data to assess, credit, publish and administer the submitted work. A model or team member may contact team@artegomagazine.com to ask what data Artego holds, correct a credit, object to a use or request deletion where applicable. Identity documents must not be sent by ordinary email.
5. PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASES
Where the GDPR or equivalent Serbian data-protection rules apply, the principal purposes and legal bases are:
• Delivering the Website, essential cookie preferences, security and abuse prevention — legitimate interests in providing a secure service and, where applicable, legal obligations.
• Responding to questions, partnership requests and pre-order enquiries — steps requested before a contract and legitimate interests in managing correspondence.
• Reviewing submissions and communicating an editorial decision — steps requested before a contract and legitimate interests in operating an editorial publication.
• Providing an accepted or purchased service, administering publication and customer support — performance of a contract.
• Keeping accounting, transaction, complaint and legally required records — legal obligations and legitimate interests in establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.
• Managing publication rights, credits, releases and the editorial archive — performance of the publication agreement and legitimate interests in preserving an accurate publishing and rights record, balanced against the individual’s rights.
• Sending Artego newsletters and open-call updates — consent. You may unsubscribe at any time through the link in an email or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.
• Running optional Yandex Metrica analytics — consent given through Manage cookies. Analytics remains off unless you allow it.
• Publishing optional biographies, social handles or other information beyond what is necessary for the agreed editorial credit — consent or the specific publication agreement, as applicable.
We do not use consent where another legal basis is required, and we do not treat acceptance of this Privacy Policy as consent.
6. COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
Essential technologies may be used to deliver and protect the Website and remember privacy choices. Optional analytics is disabled until you allow it through Manage cookies. You can reject optional cookies without losing access and can change your choice at any time using the control in the lower-right corner. Artego does not currently use advertising or retargeting pixels on the Website.
Current cookie and similar-technology summary:

• tildasid and tildauid — Tilda — request statistics where enabled — up to 90 days under Tilda’s current cookie policy.
• TILDAUTM and previous URL — Tilda — referral/UTM attribution where enabled — up to 90 days under Tilda’s current cookie policy.
• Tilda cookie-preference record — Tilda — remembers Accept, Reject and category choices — until the preference is replaced, withdrawn or expires under the platform configuration.
• _ym_metrika_enabled — Yandex Metrica — checks whether analytics cookies can operate — 60 minutes.
• _ym_isad — Yandex Metrica — detects the presence of an ad blocker — 20 hours.
• _ym_uid and _ym_d — Yandex Metrica — distinguishes a browser and records the first session date — up to 1 year.
• gdpr, is_gdpr and is_gdpr_b — Yandex Metrica — identifies the applicable consent region — up to 2 years.
Yandex Metrica counter 91646062 loads only after analytics consent. Webvisor/session replay and e-commerce data transmission are disabled. Providers may change technical cookie names or periods; this list will be reviewed when the configuration changes. Browser or local-storage identifiers used by a provider are subject to the same consent category and provider documentation.
7. SERVICE PROVIDERS AND RECIPIENTS
The following services are currently relevant:
• Tilda Platform Cloud Services Co. LLC — Website platform, hosting, content delivery, forms, security and cookie-preference tools. Tilda processes project data for the controller under its Data Processing Agreement.
• Google Workspace — delivery and storage of Artego business email. The domain’s mail is routed through Google Workspace.
• Air Smart Advertising Solutions FZ-LLC / Yandex Metrica — optional website analytics after consent.
• Artells Media — submission, order and support interface operated by the same controller.
• Kavyar LLC, United States — independent submission platform. Kavyar may share submitter information, submission history and submitted materials with Artego as the selected publisher.
• Blurb, Inc. / MagCloud, United States — independent print-on-demand and sales platform for purchases made there.
• PayPal and the card-acquiring provider identified at checkout — payment processing where the visitor selects that method. Artego does not receive full card credentials.
• Meta Platforms services, including Instagram and Facebook — independent social platforms when you follow a link or interact with social content.
We may also disclose limited data to professional advisers, courts, regulators or public authorities when reasonably necessary to comply with law or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not sell personal data.
8. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Some services process data outside Serbia or the country where the individual lives:
• Tilda is established in the United Arab Emirates and states that project processing may involve providers or support in the EU/EEA, United States and Kazakhstan.
• Google Workspace may process business email through an international infrastructure and provides a Cloud Data Processing Addendum incorporating Standard Contractual Clauses for covered transfers.
• Yandex Metrica is provided by Air Smart Advertising Solutions FZ-LLC in the United Arab Emirates; its Metrica Data Processing Agreement includes Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
• Kavyar and MagCloud/Blurb are United States services acting under their own notices when you choose to use them.
• Artells Media is operated by the same Serbian controller.
Where Serbian or European transfer rules apply to Artego, transfers are based on an applicable provider data-processing agreement, approved standard contractual clauses or another lawful safeguard. We do not rely on a general statement in this Policy as blanket consent for routine international transfers. Information about the safeguard relevant to a specific service can be requested at team@artegomagazine.com.
9. RETENTION
Unless a longer period is required for an open dispute, legal obligation or legal claim, Artego applies the following working periods:
• Website security and abuse-prevention records — up to 12 months; longer only where needed to investigate an incident.
• Cookie preferences and evidence of consent — up to 24 months after the choice or until the record is renewed or withdrawn.
• Newsletter subscription — until you unsubscribe; a minimal suppression and consent record may be retained for up to 3 years to respect the opt-out and demonstrate compliance.
• Routine enquiries and partnership correspondence — up to 24 months after the last substantive communication.
• Material from an unaccepted submission — normally deleted within 6 months after the final decision or last substantive contact; a limited decision, rights or complaint record may be kept for up to 24 months.
• Accepted and published material, credits, releases and rights evidence — for as long as the edition remains in the editorial archive and for the applicable limitation period where needed to document publication rights, correct credits or defend claims.
• Orders, refunds, invoices, complaints and accounting records — for the statutory accounting, tax and limitation period, normally between 5 and 10 years depending on the record.
• Data-subject request records — up to 3 years after closure to demonstrate how the request was handled.
Secure backups may retain residual copies until the normal backup cycle completes. Independent platforms apply their own retention schedules. Artego periodically reviews records and deletes or anonymises data that is no longer required.
10. SUBMISSIONS AND RESTRICTED MATERIAL
The general Artells submission form must not be used for work featuring anyone under 18 or containing nude or intimate imagery. Use only a dedicated Kavyar call that explicitly accepts the category and review its current age, consent and release requirements, or contact editor@artegomagazine.com before sending files so that a separate, proportionate and secure review process can be agreed. Never email identity documents.
Submit only data and material you are authorised to provide. Rights, releases and publication permissions are governed by the applicable submission or publication agreement, not by this Privacy Policy. Artego may request evidence of authority but will seek to minimise the data collected and use a safer verification method for sensitive material.
11. YOUR RIGHTS AND COMPLAINTS
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or information about your personal data; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and withdraw consent. Contact team@artegomagazine.com and describe the request. We will respond within the applicable statutory period, normally within 30 days. Do not send identity documents by ordinary email; if verification is necessary, we will agree a proportionate method.
You may lodge a complaint with the Serbian Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection: https://poverenik.rs/en/ or office@poverenik.rs. You may also complain to another competent supervisory authority where applicable.
12. SECURITY, CHANGES AND CONTACT
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures appropriate to the data and risk, including access limitation, encrypted transmission and data minimisation. No internet service can promise absolute security. Material changes to this notice will be posted here with a new date and will not retroactively create consent.
